Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-05-02 · Chataibot (the “App”)

This Privacy Policy describes how Chataibot ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Chataibot mobile application and related web paywall ("Service"). It is written in plain language and is intentionally concise.

1. Anonymous account

By default, Chataibot creates an anonymous account derived from your device’s Apple Identifier for Vendor (iOS) or Android ID. We do not require a name, email, or other personally identifying information to use the Service.

2. Information we process

• Device identifier — used to create and recognize your anonymous account across launches.
• Chat content — the messages you send and receive are transmitted to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, OpenRouter) to generate responses, then returned to you. We retain message metadata (timestamps, model used, token counts) for usage accounting; message bodies are not retained beyond the request unless required for abuse prevention.
• Purchase information — when you buy credits or a subscription, we receive the transaction identifier and product ID from the relevant store or payment processor. We do not see your card or banking details.
• Diagnostic data — anonymous crash reports and basic performance metrics, used only to keep the App working.

3. Information we do not collect

• Real name, email, phone number, postal address.
• Location, photos, contacts, calendar, health, biometrics, browsing history.
• Advertising identifiers. We do not run ads and do not perform cross-app tracking.

4. Third parties

The Service relies on the following processors to function. Each acts under their own privacy terms:

• OpenAI and OpenRouter — model inference for chat responses.
• fal.ai — image generation (when invoked).
• Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing — billing on iOS and Android.
• DigitalOcean — server hosting.

5. Data retention

Account records and purchase receipts are retained while your account is active and for up to 24 months thereafter, or longer if required by law. Chat metadata is retained for up to 90 days for service quality monitoring.

6. Children

The Service is rated 17+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated records by contacting tuhage@gmail.com. Because the account is anonymous, you should include the device identifier displayed in App → Settings → User ID to enable deletion.

8. Security

We use TLS for all network traffic. Refresh tokens are stored in iOS Keychain / Android Keystore via expo-secure-store. Server-side data is held in PostgreSQL with access restricted to operators.

9. Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the date at the top and notify you within the app on next launch.
